About

This is a subsidiary blog to In the City magazine - a Canberra CBD Limited initiative produced by The Canberra Times. The ultimate purpose of the magazine is to raise awareness of all the fabulous things happening in Canberra's growing nerve centre, the people who contribute to its richness in various ways and growth and improvement happening in a number of sectors, including infrastructure and the arts.

In addition to a smorgasbord of feature articles on fascinating people connected to the city, each season the magazine provides a range of regular sections to keep you up to date on fashion, fun and food in the nation's capital.

The Buzz provides the lowdown on cultural highlights for the season in areas of theatre, art, dance, comedy and more. Written by the Canberra Theatre's own Freyla Ferguson, this can be treated as a 'must-see' guide for culture buffs.

Joanna Baker gives us her two-cents in Blockbusters, revealing cinematic highlights coming soon. No spoilers, we promise.

The Calendar is your one-stop shop for 'to-dos' in the city. Plan out your cultural schedule of festivals, concerts and events for each season.

Plate It promises a selection of mouthwatering gastronomic gems from local restaurants. Take a close-up look at their specialities, their people and their individual ambiance.
